The following new owners are from across the country. They have passed through Rise and Shine Walkers gates and have seen our farms. They are now proud owners of well bred, sensible and natural Tennessee Walking Horses. Take a look and see what they have to say!
Hi this is Barbara from Michigan. I just wanted to let u know that Asia Sabbath Little Angel (Velvet) did very well today for loading in the trailer and had her shot without any issues. They gave her a A for confirmation and an A+ for her personality. She is doing great. I have spent every day with her since she has been here with baby walks. When I ask for her foot she is starting to give me her leg. She is the best baby ever.
I love her lots
Bye for now,
Barb
"Hello, Just wanted to drop a line and tell you that your farm and horses are the best I have seen in a long time. I can't wait to come back! I hope to come back and bring Beau home along with Cowboy, and Captain's Buck Start, and your little buckskin mare Chance to buck the system. I really believe adding your horses to mine will really help out with the breeding. They won't just be breeding horses. They will get to go places and explore as I would like them to trail ride like mine do! I just love your farm, horses, kitties and dogs! Excellent facility and thank you for your kindness!! I hope you take me up on the trimming offer. I think you will like what I have to offer. Also, I wanted to know if I can make another trip to play with the boys Cowboy, Buck, and to check out Beau a bit more closely) I would like to get to know the boys before they come home and get to know Beau just in case! I really do like him he has stuck in my mind as much as the boys have ....maybe even more so, his big kind face watching us just left a lasting picture in my mind!!! Of course feel free to use my comments and name on your website. I am incredibly impressed and hope I can make the boys as happy! Thank You So MUCH!!!! You are one of the best!" Michelle F. Stepp

Jake is doing great (busy too)! Thought you might want to see him in this shot. He loves to jump straight up, almost flat footed. He is real calm and a joy to handle. I don't recall having a horse so personable either. L. Sparks
"Hi Micki & Terri, I just had to email and let you know what a great, wonderful, AWESOME filly you sold me! (Can you tell how much we love her??!!) We just got home from a weekend of trail riding. Karma (Pride's Lady Traveler RSW) went along to start learning the ropes. She stood tied to a hitching rail all weekend and did great. She got her leg over the rope twice and instead of panicking, she just stood there looking at me until I went and fixed it. We ponied her off of our older mare and she followed right along and only hesitated once for a few seconds at a narrow (barely one horse wide) wooden bridge. The second time we crossed it, she didn't even hesitate. At camp, someone had a huge white tent set-up and she walked right past it. I took her out and walked her around camp and she only snorted and looked at a dumpster and then went up to it. Today, we rode without her and left her tied at camp (we had two ropes on her and a friend stayed back at camp to watch her) and she didn't even get too worried that her buddies left. I gotta tell you, I've gotten more compliments on her and I've been telling everyone about you guys.
Several people asked we weren't riding her and when I said she was a yearling they couldn't believe it A) because of how well behaved she was and B) because of her size. I've been doing ground work almost every night with her. She goes on and off the trailer and even backs off from the very front stall like an old pro. She learns very quickly and tries very hard to please. She is the sweetest thing in the world. Our biggest challenge will be teaching her how to stay out of our space so she doesn't walk on our feet because she's so lovable and affectionate. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough but just had to share. I forgot my camera but a friend took some pics of her at camp, so when I get them, I'll send them to you. Take care!" Sincerely, Amy Loy, One VERY satisfied Rise and Shine customer
"Hi Micki & Terri, Just wanted to thank you both for a WONDERFUL visit today. You are both so generous with your time. I could've stayed for hours and hours! I am so very, very pleased with Sassy (Major's Sassy RSW). I can't wait to bring her home with me. Susan and I talked all the way home about how regally she carries herself and how well she moves etc.... You guys are doing an amazing job of producing gorgeous horses with not only beautiful colors, but friendly, people oriented personalities as well. You should both be very proud. I so wish I had the money and space to bring Karma home as well. I just can't get over how "into" us she is. She is going to be gorgeous! I can't believe no one has gobbled her up!" Amy from Ohio
"I just wanted to write to you and let you know that Ivory Coast Princess is doing great! We love her to pieces! I have a recent picture of her. She is spoiled like a "princess!" Nothing is too good for her! Thank you very much - she is everything I dreamed for." Denise Mealy
"Diesel is doing GREAT! Thank you so much for such a GREAT little guy. He is such a great little guy. I've been walking him a lot and grooming him and he just loves it! I had to get a few stall toys for him since he insisted on chewing and throwing his grooming brushes all over the place....he's quite the character!" Allison Jones Indiana
"Pleasure's Pretty Pebbles arrived in excellent shape yesterday. It took a bit longer than I expected but no harm was done. We kept her in a stall/run overnight and turned her loose with the crowd this morning. She was threatening to jump out of the stall/run and I didn't want her to get hurt. She looks exactly like a mare we have so, no one noticed that she was new... I was very impressed with her athletic abilities. When she was considering if she should jump the corral fence, she levitated on her hind quarters like a Lipizzaner in perfect form for about 20 seconds. She should make an excellent mountain trail horse. I will let her settle in for a week then start on her training. Pleasure's Pretty Pebbles - The papers arrived along with your notes. I really appreciate the notes. Pebbles lines up at the gate every morning and evening with the message that she wants to come into the barn for extra attention. We give her some grain and hay then turn her out in an hour or so to socialize and exercise until the next feeding time. She seems content with that. We do not like to keep horses in stalls except for special reasons. She is a very sweet horse. I plan to start her under saddle soon using Parelli methods. She should do well. She is very smart and very sweet. The main problem I find with Natural Horsemanship training is that most people have no understanding that the horse is a partner and not a machine. They do not accept being jerked around and improper treatment.... Such is the life of a horse in modern America. I hope to progress to the instructor level and be able to formally teach people about horses in a year or two. That's the only way to go." Kathy
"Lacee, she is doing just great! I am so happy with her. She is everything you and Terri said she was, and more. She is one of the most personable horses I have ever had. I have owned Quarter horses, Paints, and an Arabian, and she is by far the best that I feel I have ever had. I have had so many compliments on her looks and disposition. She will be going in for training shortly, and I will let you know how she does." Ann Graber
"Both Teri and Micki were very nice to work with, and they were very honest about their horses. I bought a 3 month old colt, and he is everything they said he would be. He is the calmest, friendliest colt my vet has ever seen. He always comes over for a little affection even when he is in the pasture. I am very pleased with the breeding of my little baby, and I am looking forward to raising him into a wonderful walking horse. I will highly recommend Rise and Shine Walkers to all my friends, because they really care about all their horses." Sandy Macy LaGrange, IN
"ALL of my dealings with Micki have been professional, friendly and a joy. I would deal with her again anytime and more importantly refer anyone to her that wants a professional and honest person to deal with long distance. Gunny and Rocky are awesome horses and we have enjoyed getting to know them and bring them into our little "zoo" family. They are everything Micki said they were and more!" Marie
