Our stallions will let you approach them and their mares in a large field. They will bring their mares and colts to you when you approach the field. The mares are put back out with the stallion in the middle of an established herd and our boys will accept them with ease. If all goes well during the foaling, in a state-of-the-art foaling barn with 12 X 24 foaling barns, the mare is put back out with her stallion on day 7-8.

We imprint the foal for the first week pretty intensely. This really sets them apart from other colts born elsewhere! Our stallions will lead by the chin, halt when halted, hand breed on a loose lead, and stand for hours in a breeding barn with patience and calmness. Now, we are not saying that they will not do some talking. My boys know how to talk, let’s be reasonable.

You will find that Traveler, Max, Frosty and Major’s babies are just like their daddies. Our stallions for breeding at Rise and Shine are the best quality out there. Of course, each mare was handpicked. We have not kept mares that did NOT produce better than themselves! Our mares are handpicked. We have already separated the wheat from the chaff. That being said, we have sold some excellent mares to people because they wanted them. The stallions below are not for sale; however, we do offer a stud fee for all of our stallions.
